The ego state model is a way of thinking about ourselves. This describes parts of ourselves – ways of being in the world. When we are ‘in Parent’ we might feel judgmental and critical, or nurturing and caring. In Adult, we are logical and rational. In Child, we might feel rebellious, , carefree and spontaneous, or submissive and apologetic.
